Who knows how these things get started.
One minute I was reviewing websites looking for ideas for redesigning the student media site I advise. The next minute I was redesigning this site.
Fast forward more hours than I want to admit, and at least three online chats with my host server, and the site has a fresh, minimalist new look.
I obviously didn’t intend to redesign this site. But, if I’m being honest, it was time. It’s been a couple of years (I think) since I redesigned. The site was beginning to look bulky and dated. I also find that a new look helps reignite my passion and refocus me on this site’s purpose. So, a facelift is a good thing.
Of course, the site isn’t done. I’ve found that redesigning a website is a lot like redecorating your house. As soon as you get a room the way you want it, it’s time to start on another one. Once you get the house to look the way you want, it’s time to start the process again. It’s just the way it works.
I hope you enjoy the site’s fresh new look. I would like to hear from you.
What constructive advice do you have regarding the site’s design?
And, while we’re talking freshness, is there content you wish I featured here or wrote more of?
Your opinions matter to me. Bring them on!
