I’m asked regularly what blogs I read and recommend. People gasp when I tell them that I scan about a hundred blogs a day. I’m addicted to reading, but I think it’s a good addiction to feed, as long as I’m intentional about it. I believe the cliché that “leaders and readers.” I also believe reading educates you and education is yours forever, it cannot be taken away. And, of course, I’m a writer. I agree wholeheartedly with the Stephen King quote:
If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write.”
But remember the thing I wrote earlier about being intentional about reading? What I mean is being intentional about reading (as in actually doing it) and about what I read. I like reading blogs, so it’s easy to get such a large blog feed that I can’t read through it daily. It builds up and becomes an overwhelming stressor instead of something I love doing. Also, the more blogs I read, the less time I have for reading books, which is what I really find relaxing.
I decided to pare down the list of blogs I read to my manageable favorites and share them with you. I hope you find this categorical list helpful.
jgombita Just my list of what I like to read. I get asked a lot, since I read so much.
