My Facebook status reads: “Kenna knows why I get nothing done. It’s because I feel the need to check my facebook and twitter accounts and then update my blog before I ever begin writing! Technology just helps me procrastinate.
The study surveyed 219 undergraduate and graduate students and found that GPAs of Facebook users typically ranged a full grade point lower than those of nonusers. It also found that nearly 80 percent of Facebook users did not see the correlation between using the social networking site and a lower GPA.
