I’m back in this, baby!
I wrote last month that I wasn’t sure I would reach my goal of reading 150 books this year. I was lagging a bit behind. But, this month, I took off!
I read 13 books this month!
I’m not entirely sure what happened to cause me to read so much more this month. Perhaps it’s because the weather is getting cooler and I’m spending less time outdoors.
For those keeping track, this means I’d read 112 books by the beginning of November.
I read a lot of great books this past month, but my favorite probably was The Most Dangerous Animal of All: Searching for My Father . . . and Finding the Zodiac Killer. I’m pretty sure the title of this book says it all. The author, Gary L. Stewart, has good evidence that his father was the Zodiac Killer. If you know how intrigued I am by serial killers and true crime, you understand why I loved this book.
I also enjoyed Meet Me at Emotional Baggage Claim because Lisa Scottoline and Francesca Serritella cracked me up! They have the relationship every mother and daughter want and simultaneously avoid. They were just way too funny.
I’m 38 books away from accomplishing my reading goal!
That’s still a ton of reading. It requires more reading the next two months (19 books per month) than I’ve done in any one month, but I think I can do it.
I’m a girl on a mission!
What do you think? Can I do it? It’s time to start placing your bets. Or, if you’re not the gambling type, just cheer me on or loan me a book.
