The best way to improve your writing is simple—write.
Writers don’t write because they’re afraid of doing it poorly. However, any story can be edited and improved. A blank page cannot.
You can repair poor writing. You can’t fix nothing.
Writers sometimes call this fear of writing “writer’s block,” but I don’t think writer’s block exists.
The best way to get past this is to just write.
I encourage you to write something every day, whether that writing ever is read by anyone other than you or not.
Here is some more advice on how to write a lot.

Whenever I start writing I simply first start with something which is not meaningful. That way I can get in the zone and write good stuff. Of course it can always be edited afterwards 🙂

@Bartjan Exactly! You just have to get started. You can always fix it, but you can’t edit a blank screen. Your first draft is never going to be the best one anyway.
Thanks for reading!

A friend of mine sent me a quote that said: “Just write baby. Just write.” I keep that on my desk…and I write! Cheers! Kaarina

KDillabough That’s excellent advice. I’ll keep it in my head for days when I need it.
