I’m having a difficult time getting my big, inflated head through my office door.
But my woes have nothing to do with my increasingly large hair. Yes, I admit it, I have thick, curly, country-music-singer hair, but I digress.
I have been on Cloud 9 since I was named one of the 20 Must Follow Twitter Feeds for Student Journalists.
Seriously, that’s a big deal! As my former student Kelly would say, “I’m kind of a big deal,” at least on Twitter… or on one guy’s list about Twitter.
Dan Reimold, author of the collegiate journalism blog, College Media Matters, wrote the list.
Dan (@collegemedia) and I know of each other as a result of our involvement in College Media Advisers.
Dan, an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Tampa, advises The Minaret student newspaper.
All joking about my hair aside, I seriously am humbled to be included on this great list of journalism tweeters. Thank you, Dan!
I encourage you to check out Dan’s list and follow those people and organizations listed. It’s an informative (@jeffjarvis, for example) and fun (@OHNewsroom, one of my faves) mix.
If you aren’t already following me on Twitter, I would love to meet up with you there. You can find me @profkrg. Please be sure to introduce yourself.

@collegemedia Thank you so much! I obviously spend a lot of time on my blog and social media presence. It’s always nice to be noticed. It makes me think it’s worth it… that people are actually getting something from it. I appreciate you!

@collegemedia I didn’t realize until today that we have Singapore in common. I teach there two months each summer.
