My husband does this thing where he’ll crave a certain food and ask me to pick it up at the store. After a few weeks, I’ll begin thoughtfully picking up the item without him asking, then I’ll notice it’s starting to stockpile. The craving has ended. He’s moved on about as quickly as I could adjust.
My daughter does the same thing. Just when I remember to always buy the Tomato Basil Wheat Thins, she stops eating them.
It’s tough to keep up around our place!
I guess we all do that, though. We’re just kinda “into” something—a TV show, a song, a snack—for awhile, then it fades. At least that happens with a lot of things.
Speaking of being “into” things, I’ve enjoyed Modern Mrs Darcy’s book and lifestyle blog for awhile. I like Anne’s writing style, and we seem to like many of the same things (ironically, not books), like lists of what we’re “into.” I borrowed this idea from her.
Here are some things I’m currently into.
Candles
I did the whole Scentsy thing, which meant I went from having candles all over the house to only Scentsy warmers. I went to a holiday party at a neighbor’s house and she was burning a candle. It reignited (pun intended) my love of candles. I’m especially in to these three-wick White Barn candles from Bath & Body Works.
Pens
Ok, I’m always into pens, but the type changes. Right now I’m loving these Uni-Ball Air Rollerball pens my stepmom introduced me to.
This little girl
There’s been a lot of negativity on social media lately. This adorable little girl singing with her Dad was exactly the change I needed.
Sharpies
I buy a ton of Sharpies, then I stop using them for awhile, then I miss the Sharpies. Come back, Sharpies! Amazon wants me to buy these Sharpies. They keep advertising them to me on my social pages. I think they may be right because I’m pretty sure I need them.
Spiral journals
I’ve been in a bit of a journal crisis lately. I use journals for my to do lists. I pretend it’s bullet journaling, but it’s honestly just a list with boxes next to it. Whatever. It works for me.
I bought a journal without a spiral, which meant I couldn’t tear the pages out. Then the pages started falling out. No more! Only spiral journals for me from now on.
Peanut butter
I developed an almond and peanut intolerance the year before last, but I seem to be ok with peanut butter again. Hallelujah! The peanut butter is back!
Unexpected sunshine
I’m a summer girl. And, while it hasn’t been a super cold winter in Oklahoma, the wind makes it feel way colder than it is. We got a wonderful reprieve earlier this week, with a 70-degree January day. That sunny warmth felt amazing, plus I got to spend some time outside playing fetch with my dog.

Love this idea and your list! Yay, for peanut butter and pens and journals. I’m seriously considering getting rid of all my Scentsy pots. I never use them and my sister isn’t a consultant anymore. I love one particular candle in the Fall so maybe I should just go back to candles! If only I could keep Jackson from blowing them out!

I still have all of my Scentsy warmers. I use them too, but I’m just into the candle thing right now. Believe it or not, I can’t keep my kids from messing with them either, so that never goes away.

I am into walking in nature each day with some mindfulness thrown in for good measure. Watching the little flower bulbs shooting up through the soil and the hazelnut trees pollinating. A great month for garden activity when you look for it.

I love this! Is it cold where you live? The Oklahoma wind makes it tough to walk here right now, but we’ve had some beautiful days too.
