Social media is changing the way the media reports breaking news and adding pressure to the argument between “getting it first and getting it right.”
This was the primary take-away from the session, Ethics on Deadline, I attended at the Media Ethics 2011 conference at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
The session’s speakers were: Kelly Ogle from KWTV News9, Dave Espo from the Associated Press, Joe Hight from The Oklahoman, and Terry Clark from the University of Central Oklahoma.
