If you’re only going to read one public relations blog (although I recommend you read more), it should be Ragan’s PR Daily.
The site, which is updated daily, delivers news, advice and opinions on public relations, marketing and social media. It does so by aggregating information from around the Internet and from its own impressive list of contributors.
The site is well organized and the writing is brief, casual and entertaining. For example, read this post on 8 viral memes from the 2012 Election. Other examples include the cleverly-crafted descriptions in the “job of the day” listings, like this one for Starbucks.
The writers break down complex issues and present them in ways that identify key points and help readers use the information practically. For example, read Google blames R.R. Donnelly for gaffe that caused its stock to plummett.
You can find content on seemingly any issue in public relations or communications in general on the site. You also can learn about many other relevant topics that are news to you.
Ragan’s PR Daily is hosted by Lawrence Ragan Communications, Inc., which began publishing in this area in 1970, according to the site. After Lawrence Ragan died in 1995, his son, Mark Ragan, assumed the company, the site reads.

@dbvickery thanks, Brian. I hope you had a Monday. 🙂
dbvickery says
@profkrg I like the way you word that…everybody “has” a Monday whether they like it or not!
profkrg says
@dbvickery well, not everybody. I don’t like saying “a good Monday.” That just seems like an oxymoron.
dbvickery says
@profkrg Yep…kind of rare I relish a Monday. Love the saying why is Friday so far from Monday, but Monday so close to Friday?!?

Hi Kenna,
Ragan’s PR Daily is the high point of the day. Funny, savvy, timely it covers it all. I could not agree with you more. Even life’s lessons are rolled into this witty publication. Great to see you agree.
